• I am an “In Network” provider for Aetna and Cigna plans which means I am contracted with them to accept the rates they have agreed to pay me.  This means there is a reduced cost to you.  For all other plans I am considered an “Out of Network” provider which means that if you have any out of network coverage, you will still receive some portion of reimbursement by your insurance company.

    *It is a common misconception that people work hard to find in-network therapists without understanding their out of network benefits.  I will work with you to understand those benefits before beginning therapy and provide you with monthly superbills which contain all the information your insurance co. needs to process the claims.

  • Once we have determined that our schedules will align, I provide a free verification of your insurance benefits. I believe in full transparency of the fees you will have to pay in order to prioritize your self care. Each plan is different and many include deductibles at the beginning of the year as well as copayments or coinsurance for each visit.  I will notify you of these benefits as verified with your insurance carrier before the first session.  Keep in mind this is courtesy verification and cannot ever guarantee how the insurance will pay. I always rec. we both verify the coverage to be sure we are being told the same things.  Good Faith Estimates will be provided.

  • New patients start out with weekly appointments so that I can get to know you and the history of your presenting issues.  Over time, and with ongoing communication, biweekly sessions may be appropriate to practice skill building. This decision is a collaborative process between client and therapist.
